We are delighted to share insights from our recent event held in Ramnicu Valcea, on 7-8 December 2023, focused on promoting inclusive societies and the development of peripheral areas. Through dynamic discussions and collaborative efforts, participants explored innovative approaches to fostering inclusivity and addressing the unique challenges faced by communities on the outskirts.
Each group of participants showcased local best practices aimed at promoting inclusive societies. From diversity initiatives to social integration projects, participants gained valuable insights into effective strategies for fostering inclusivity at the grassroots level.
The morning session focused on conducting a SWOT analysis of the presented best practices. Through collaborative discussions, participants identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, laying the groundwork for deeper exploration and strategic planning.
Building upon the morning’s discussions, participants further explored the identified weaknesses within the European context. Through brainstorming and dialogue, they worked together to develop innovative solutions for promoting inclusivity and addressing systemic barriers.
Participants collaborated to draft a common proposal derived from the best practices shared during the event. Drawing upon diverse perspectives and experiences, they envisioned strategies for promoting the development and empowerment of peripheral communities.
The final session saw participants refining and perfecting their proposals through debate and discussion. They explored ways to adapt their ideas to the European context, ensuring that they align with EU policies and initiatives aimed at promoting social cohesion and territorial development.
The event underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting inclusive societies and addressing the unique needs of peripheral communities. As we move forward, we remain committed to working together to build a Europe that is inclusive, equitable, and resilient for all.
This represents the last transnational workshop. See you online for the final conference in January!
