We are delighted to share with you the highlights from our recent event in Germany, held on 24-25 July 2023 where participants came together to explore the crucial topics of gender equality and inclusive societies. Here’s a closer look at the agenda and the enriching activities that unfolded over the course of two dynamic days:
Day 1
10:00 – 10:45 – E.P.Y.C. Case Studies: Each partner organization presented its local best practices related to gender equality and inclusive societies, showcasing inspiring initiatives and success stories from their communities.
11:00 – 11:45 – SWOT Analysis: The morning session focused on conducting a SWOT analysis of the four local best practices presented. Participants explored the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with each practice, laying the foundation for deeper discussion and collaboration.
11:45 – 12:30 – YOU – rope?! Europe in Your Life: Participants engaged in the preparation of World Café questions and posters for a public Europe event, reflecting on their personal experiences and perspectives on Europe’s role in their lives.
16:30 – Public Europe Event at Euregio Rhein-Waal: The day concluded with a public event where participants had the opportunity to engage with the broader community and share their insights on gender equality and inclusive societies.
Day 2
9:45 – 10:45 – Sharing for Building: Participants actively contributed their ideas and perspectives for building inclusive communities at the local level, fostering collaboration and collective action.
11:00 – 11:45 – Stereotypes & Multiple Identities (Intersectionality): The morning session delved into the complex issues of stereotypes and multiple identities, exploring the concept of intersectionality and its implications for gender equality and social inclusion.
The Gender Equality and Inclusive Societies event in Germany was a testament to the power of collaboration, dialogue, and collective action in advancing social change. As we move forward, let us continue to work together towards a future where everyone can thrive, regardless of gender or identity. Let’s meet in Romania for the final transnational event!
