We are thrilled to share with you the exciting highlights from our recent event in Sweden, held on 9th and 10th May 2023, where participants gathered to delve into the concept of Smart Cities and explore innovative solutions for urban development. Here’s a closer look at the agenda and the engaging activities that unfolded over the course of the event:
DAY 1
10.30 – 11.30 – Salon of Debate: Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a salon of debate, where each partner organization presented their local best practices related to Smart Cities. From cutting-edge technology to community-driven initiatives, these presentations provided valuable insights into the diverse approaches to urban development across Europe.
11.30 – 13.30 – SWOT Analysis (Part I): The morning session focused on conducting a SWOT analysis of the four local best practices presented. Participants identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with each practice, laying the groundwork for deeper exploration and collaborative problem-solving.
15.00 – 17.00 – SWOT Analysis (Part II): Building upon the morning’s discussions, the afternoon session delved deeper into contextualizing the identified weaknesses within the European context. Through dynamic exchanges and collaborative brainstorming, participants worked together to explore innovative solutions and strategies for addressing urban challenges.
DAY 2
10.00 – 11.00 – Sharing 4 Building: Participants came together to synergize their efforts and draft a common proposal derived from the best practices shared during the event. Through collaboration and creative problem-solving, they envisioned bold and transformative solutions for building Smart Cities that are inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.
11.00 – 13.30 – Building 4 EU: The final session of the event saw young protagonists refining and perfecting their proposal through a forum of debate and discussion. Drawing upon their collective expertise and insights gained throughout the event, they prepared to present their ideas within the broader European context, paving the way for actionable change and innovation.
The Smart Cities event in Sweden was a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and youth-led initiatives in shaping the future of urban development. As we move forward, we carry with us the inspiration and momentum generated during these two dynamic days, ready to turn our vision for Smart Cities into reality.
